Last Saturday 14 July, the brothers I\u00f1aki and Izaskun Zendoia travelled to Belfast (UK) together with their parents Jose Miguel and Maria Pilar to receive the prize for BEST LUXURY STEAKHOUSE\/GRILL IN THE WORLD. This award constitutes recognition of a lifetime\u2019s work by the parents in Asador Katxi\u00f1a and will also instil the new generation at Bodega Katxi\u00f1a with renewed enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The prize-giving ceremony for the World Luxury Spa and Restaurant Awards was held at the Galgorm Spa &amp; Resort. The gala night for the Luxury Restaurant Awards was attended by participants from every continent in a glamorous atmosphere characterised by designer dresses, examples of traditional dress from some of the participating countries and even religious costumes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some months back, they were told that the restaurant had been nominated for the World Luxury Restaurant Awards. While totally unexpected, it provided a source of motivation and the entire team was excited about the possibility of winning. The nomination was a result of the countless excellent opinions of diners that Restaurante Bodega Katxi\u00f1a has received in a short period of only two years. This is what caught the eye of the organisers of these awards based in Cape Town (South Africa).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe nomination was a surprise,\u201d said the Zendoia brothers, \u201cbut we really couldn\u2019t believe it when a month later they told us we\u2019d actually won the prize for Best Luxury Steakhouse\/Grill in the World.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis award represents special recognition of our parents for their daily work over 40 years in the industry. And of course, the entire team at Bodega Katxi\u00f1a, because without them this would not have been possible.
